Dominique was born on January 18th, 1989 in Bountiful, Utah to William Arthur & Kathy Ann Carden. She was curious, adventurous and one of a kind. Dominique graduated from Davis Alternative High School and developed skills for mechanics and creativity.

Throughout her life, Dominique showed all who knew her and were touched by her spirit and personality that she had very unique qualities. She was not a trend follower, had her own style of dress, sense of humor and feelings for others. Dominique proclaimed herself as “Not a People Person”. However, she made many friends. Her kindness, thoughtfulness, sense of responsibility and good work ethics were her way of proving herself as a truly loving, big-hearted and caring individual to all who had the privilege of knowing her and having her in their lives.

Dominique had several specialties in her work career. She worked in Big-O Tire Stores as a technician for many years, moving on to engine rebuilding and auto repair for Metric Motors in Centerville, Utah. After a few other mechanic jobs, she finally joined UPS in Tacoma, Washington. According to her UPS co-workers, over three years, Dom proved herself as a trusted and hardworking team member, eventually being on their Safety Committee.

Dominique loved spending time with her family, especially her siblings who she considered her best friends. Dom became a proud Aunt in the summer of 2000 and quickly became a huge part of her nieces’ lives. She shared in their triumphs, joys and pains. She was a confidant in all matters giving guidance and unconditional love.

Dominique married her spouse, Maggie Perry, on May 8th, 2018 at Kopachuck State Park in Washington.

Our lives have forever changed with her passing and life will be a little less joyful and a little less bright without Dominique.

She is survived by her Wife: Maggie Perry; Parents: Kathy Carden and William Carden, Jr. (Kristine); Siblings: Rachael Taylor (Tim), Cody Carden (Ami) and Xavier Carden; Step Siblings: Amanda Owens (George), Joshua Sinner, and Ashley Tyler (Jaren); Grandparents: William Carden, Sr., Betty L., and Daniel P. Loring and Waldemar and Janet Mai; Nieces: Alexis Taylor, Arianna Taylor, and Arikka Taylor; many uncles, aunts, cousins, and step-relatives.

Our family would like to thank the efforts of the Pierce County Medical Examiner, Chaplain Benjamin Harris, friends, coworkers and extended families for your kind thoughts, warm wishes, and prayers.

There will be a celebration of life ceremony in Dominique’s honor in the coming weeks.

Dominique was a beautiful soul. We met at Graywhale in Bountiful in 2010 and became fast friends. Dom could fix anything, was always down for a hike no matter the weather, and had a crafty side too. One of my favorite memories was of the pet rock we adopted and named frank. Frank lived at Graywhale and Dom made hundreds of different outfits for the rock. We had so much fun together. We hadn’t talked in awhile, but we always picked up right where we left off. Go climb the tallest mountain my viking friend. Nothing but love.

Too many good memories to count. I think my favorite was not talking for a few months, messaging you out of nowhere, asking to see GWAR with me that night, and you being SO down to get stained/soaked in fake blood with me at the Saltair, such a fun concert and always a fun time with you The world really lost a good one, rest in paradise my friend, you will be missed :(
- Christina Walker

Dom, I truly can’t put into words how much I am going to miss you. I will never forget the almost two years we were completely glued together. Whether we were playing Mortal Kombat or going to medieval events or watching Powerpuff girls marathons while sing Tom Jones or Sweet. Or the time you took me to get my first tattoo (crappy Kiss army tat lol) You will forever have a special place in my heart and I’m truly thankful for some of the most happy hilarious and definitely bangerang times of my life. I love you dude. Rest in power as you ride so elegantly into Valhalla. Love always, Steve-O

Dominique touched the souls of everyone who’s life she entered. She was very good at seeing the beauty in all of the things life threw at her. I will always remember her goofy, outgoing and unique soul. I used to love jamming out to some lady Gaga with her. Oh, and you definitely can’t forget that she was the best road trip buddy because she made the most boring times fun.

Words cannot possibly convey the thousands of things I'd like to say. The thousands of memories and moments I'm eternally grateful for that I am fortunate enough to have shared with you. My first tattoo we got together that matched. My first concert. From taking turns playing video games to watching whatever cartoons we both loved. The bosses you would always make me beat for you, the time trials you always had to do for me. My first car. The First time I moved were there for all of it and more. Memories from as far back as I can remember to the last time I gave you a hug...Scenes that replay over and over. Or a flood of images at the different stages of your life. Thousands of different memories with a hundred different people who all loved you as much as I do and always will. You will always hold a special place in my heart, I will cherish every moment I got with you, and I will carry you with me wherever I go. I love you more than words can ever describe.Save me a spot next to you in Valhalla big sister.
- Little/Big Brother

Dominique always inspired me to be true to myself and the things I loved. She taught me to never be afraid to stand out- which she definitely never was. Dominique had a soul deeper than any ocean and more beautiful than any sight you may see. Anyone who ever crossed paths with her saw this and if you ever had a chance to just talk to her, you began to grow a love for her like you had known her for your entire life. Everywhere I go I will forever see you in the trees and the way they blow in the wind, the water and the way it flows, the seasons and the way they change, the sun, moon, and all of the stars as well as everything beautiful in between. Knowing Dominique was absolutely an honor- we will all be carrying you with us in our hearts as your spirit ascends to Valhalla. I love you Dominique.
